NUTRITIONAL WELLNESS

This program's foundation comes from Precision Nutrition's evidence-based nutrition coaching program and is wonderfully suited for anyone wishing to improve their nutrition, health, and/or body composition!

Focusing on the areas of:

  • Goals - You set your goals, not us!
  • Strength-Based Approach - We celebrate 1% better! When we accumulate 1% on a daily basis we create enduring change.
  • It's a Lifestyle - We coach a lifestyle, not a fad diet. We create enduring habits that will support your health and wellness throughout your life.
  • Relationship with Food- We will help you understand your relationship with food and gain an understanding of your current obstacles.
  • We Celebrate Successes - We will cheer you on throughout your journey and be there when there are bumps in the road to support you with coping effectively through the next bump. We are excited about mistakes.
  • Motivation - We will explore what may be getting in the way of you accomplishing your goals and help you manage these to increase your motivation and maintain it.

The group will meet once per week and run for 12 weeks as research suggests it takes at least 66 days to form enduring habits (Psychology Today, 2009). In this group, you will learn new and fresh information about nutrition and your body, create meaningful goals, and monitor your successes!

One-on-one nutrition coaching options are available as well!

SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY AND MENTAL PERFORMANCE

Sports Psychology Supports are offered from our office virtually and in-person depending on availability

Youth sports organizations identify several pain points for mental performance:

  • Lack of Mental Skills Training - Many youth sport organizations focus primarily on physical training and neglect mental skills training. This can lead to athletes who are physically talented but struggle with anxiety, focus, and confidence.
  • Burnout - Overtraining, over-scheduling, and a lack of balance between sports and other activities can lead to burnout in young athletes. Burnout can lead to physical and mental fatigue, decreased motivation, and decreased performance.
  • Social Comparison - Youth athletes may compare themselves to their peers, leading to feelings of inadequacy and decreased confidence. This can negatively impact mental performance, as athletes may focus on their perceived shortcomings rather than their strengths.
  • Pressure to Perform - Youth athletes may feel pressure from parents, coaches, and peers to perform at a high level. This pressure can lead to anxiety and stress, which can negatively impact mental performance.
  • Negative Coaching - Coaches who use negative feedback, punishment, and criticism can have
a detrimental effect on the mental performance of youth athletes. Negative coaching can lead to low self-esteem, anxiety, and a lack of confidence.
  • Injuries - Injuries can be a significant pain point for youth athletes, as they may feel frustrated and demotivated by the need to take time off from their sport. Injuries can also lead to anxiety and stress, which can negatively impact mental performance..
